ABOUT
ME
Who I am is of much less importance
compared to who you are, or more to the point, who I may be
able to help you become. Our purpose in life is not to beat
our chest and tell everyone else how great we are, but rather
to reach out to others and to do what we can to help them become
the best and most complete person they can become. Only because
some want to know more about me will I include the following.
I grew up farming in the Midwest,
my trade has been in the construction industry, both where the
most important lesson to be learned is to do things the right
way the first time. An amazing revolation is the majority of
people never seem to have enough time to do things right the
first time, but they always make time to do things twice, or
three times! Both farming and construction will not tolerate
this thought process and provide a profit for your effort also.
I believe in building a portfolio
of opportunities, but be very careful when it comes to cross
pollinating those teams (don't recruit from one company and
place into another).
In The Beginning
I have been involved in the MLM
- Home Based Business industry since 1981. I have joined many
networking companies and for various reasons. Sometimes it was
for research, sometimes to learn more, and sometimes for a particular
product. Very seldom was it for the money. I have built teams
of over 10,000 members in several companies.
Many things I have learned the
wrong way or the hard way. The most profound thing I have learned
is, if you will listen to others they will tell you who they
are, where they are from, where they are going, what they want,
and how they plan to get there. We were given one mouth and
two ears, maybe in the grander scheme of things we are suppose
to listen at least twice as much as we talk?
In The Middle
Somewhere along the way I must
have learned some valuable things, had unique thoughts, ideas
... Now I work closely consulting with several companies behind
the scenes. I write and restructure compensation plans. I set
up distribution centers, customer service centers, and sales
training systems. I write, design and manage member tracking
software. I work in both the corporate field as well as the
mlm field.
In The End
Well the end is not here yet
and I pray it will be awhile in coming! In the end I can be
comforted by valuing the many tremendous friends I have made
in this industry from every corner and from every walk of life
imaginable over the years. I can be proud of the many people
I have helped understand the deeper meaning of building a business
from home, and what is really important.
Who
And What Are Leaders
Here is a side note I want you
to understand about those who do this for the money ...it is
all about them! No really I am sure you have run across a "leader",
and I use the term loosely in this context, and during your
conversations with them it is always about what they did, or
have done. The stories go on and on all about them. Then finally
when they have reached a climactic moment, and you are ready
to talk about you for a change they further the conversation
by saying , "well enough about me talking about me ...What
do you think about me?" Well usually it is not that "in
your face", but I bet you understand what I am saying.
These folks are not about building
a relationship with you ...unless you will provide them with
a big check every month. Don't believe me? Don't build them
a check for 90 days and see how many phone calls you get from
them!
Pride is a funny beast. It is
one thing for others to talk about your success and what you
know, taking a humble approach to leading, and quite different
to be constantly beating your chest about how you are this or
that. These folks are running with a double edged sword at the
same time because they don't usually have any real close friends
either. The people who clamor around them are either looking
to feed off the scraps of this leader, or are only there to
try and learn as much as possible from this "leader"
Arrogance abounds and is usually
covering up a deep sense of insecurity which also abounds in
these circles, ulterior motives are the rule and not the exception
to the rule. That is why I am willing to come right out front
here and call a horses rear end just that. No fluff, no hype,
it is what it is, period.
Yes they make money lots of it,
generally they also do not care who they step on or hurt to
make it! At the same time they will have you convinced they
have your best interest at hand.
